The largest and almost single population of the Annex II listed European weatherfish (Misgurnis fossilis) lives in Het Goorken. Natuurpunt will restore 4 hectares of habitat nearby Het Goorken, at de Rode Del, Arendonk. Restoration of the water bodies could also be suitable for the great bittern (Botaurus stellaris), the little bittern (Ixobrychus minutus) and the spotted darter (Sympetrum depressiusculum). Curious to learn more about this restoration?

This summer the first barbastelle colony in the Walloon region was discovered by the bat working group Plecotus of Natagora. Two methods were used during the inventory. Curious to know which actions led tot his discovery?
