Every year the European Commission awards the best projects concerning Natura 2000 in several catagories. Now, the winners of the six 2016 Natura 2000 Awards have been announced on 23 May 2016 at the Award Ceremony in Brussels. Belgium also wins an award with his LIFE Elia-RTE project in the categorie ‘Reconciling interests/perceptions’. With their project they create green corridors for biodiversity under high-tension lines. Congratulations to all the winners!
